If you have experienced an issue with your employment, we may be able to help. We can guide you on the following issues:

  • unfair dismissal (including ‘constructive dismissal’)
  • redundancy entitlements
  • negotiating and advising on the terms of employment contracts
  • workplace bullying, harassment and discrimination

Unfair dismissal, bullying and redundancy advice

We provide advice and representation on a wide range of complex employment law issues. Our goal is to reach an agreement in your best interests quickly to save you time and stress.

If your employment law issue can’t be resolved, we can represent you in court or the Fair Work Commission.

Employment law is complex and has strict time limits so contact us to get the most up-to-date advice.

Unfair dismissal

Unfair dismissal occurs when you have been sacked from your employment without justification or you were forced to resign because of something your employer did or didn’t do. If you believe your dismissal was harsh, unjust or unreasonable, you may have a claim.

Strict 21 day time limits apply to taking action in this area so contact us immediately to discuss your situation.

Workplace bullying, harassment and discrimination

If you’ve been the victim of bullying, harassment or discrimination in your workplace, you may be entitled to compensation. Bullying is any unreasonable action that creates a risk to your health and safety and can take the form of:

    • aggressive behaviour
    • teasing or practical jokes
    • pressuring someone to behave inappropriately
    • excluding someone from work-related events, or
    • making unreasonable work demands.

Discrimination occurs when adverse action is taken against you as a result of
your age, disability, race, sex, intersex status, gender identity or sexual orientation. This is covered by the Northern Territory Anti-Discrimination Act
and the Commonwealth Fair Work Act. Contact us for contemporary advice on your circumstances.
